Funeral Service for Marilyn Jayne Bohannon, 77 of Poteau, Oklahoma will be at 10:00am on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at New Beginning Family Ministry in Poteau, Oklahoma with Dennis Bohannon officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau, Oklahoma under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
Marilyn was born on July 21, 1946 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Leta (Blasingame) Morton and George Morton and passed away on February 22, 2024 in Poteau, Oklahoma. She was married to Danny Bohannon on March 17, 1964 in Panama, OK. She was preceded in death by her parents George and Leta Morton.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years Danny Bohannon; son Leon Dennis Bohannon and wife Mechelle; grandchildren Alex Bohannon and wife Chasity, Shane Bohannon and Lexi Hopson; great grandchildren Evelyn Bohannon and Cullen Bohannon; brother Wayne Morton; numerous relatives, loved ones and friends.
Pallbearers will be Alex Bohannon, Shane Bohannon, Fred Curd, Don Martin, Trevor Peterson, and Travis Orr.
