Martha Mae Battiest, 66, of Talihina, Oklahoma passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at the Deaconess Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Viewing will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Jones Harkins Funeral Home Chapel. 

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at the Thessalonian Indian Baptist Church Tabernacle in Salonia Community, Oklahoma with Rev. Stanley Shomo officiating.  The burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Jones Harkins Funeral Home, Wilburton, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Battiest, Scottie Battice, Kolby Battiest, Michael Battice, Roger Coley, and Michael Rodriguez.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Doyle Adams, Jonathon Adams, Jarrett Cannon and Mark Sam

Martha was born on October 5, 1954 in Talihina, Oklahoma to Raymond Mackey, Sr. and Frances (Sam) Mackey. 

She is survived by her husband: Jearl Watson of the home; her children: Stephanie Battice and, Stephen of Cameron, Bruce Battiest of Broken Bow, Christina Battiest and Michael of Poteau, and Jimmy Battiest and Tracy of Talihina; her grandchildren: Marriah, Scottie, Dakotha, Amber, Michael, Shalyn, Chakotay, Dustin, Bruce Jr, Brandon, Brianna, Kolby, Emma, Raben, and Tomi; her great grandchildren: Braxton, Cora, Claire, Aubrie, Greyson, and Emmarie; two sisters: Mary Coley and husband, Joe of Wilburton, and Rotha Adams of Wilburton; step-children: Darneal Watson and Karen of Durant, and Crystal Pilkington and, Shawn of Loving; three step-grandchildren: Cheyenne, Ty, and Emmanuel; along with numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Martha is preceded in death by her parents: Raymond Mackey, Sr. and Frances (Sam) Mackey; and siblings: Ruth Carshall, Sue Adams, Arthur Mackey, Raymond Mackey, Jr. and Talton Mackey.
