Funeral Service for Martha Sue (Davison) Hamilton, 76 of Poteau, Oklahoma will be at 10:00am on Friday, August 11, 2023 at Evans Memorial Chapel in Poteau, Oklahoma with Reverend Jim Cook officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau, Oklahoma under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
Martha Sue was born on January 12, 1947 in Poteau, Oklahoma to Rowene Imogene (Plummer) Davison and Jack Odel Davison and passed away on August 7, 2023 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents; her bonus mom, Ruth Bee Jones; son, John Michael Hamilton; brother, Jim Davison; and sister, Mary Katherine Davison Schrodt. Martha was a member of Southside Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Laura K. Whorton and John Dodgen; grandchildren, Bailee Whorton, Allee Whorton, Ella Kate Dodgen, Jackson Dodgen; sisters, Dama Bogle, Jan Duncan, Pat Smith and Babe, Nancy Adams and Mark, Lisa Conrad; brothers; Jerry Davison, Charles Davison and Joni, Mike Davison and Irene, Joe Davison and wife Thelma, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be John Dodgen, Bailee Whorton, Allee Whorton, Joe Davison, Jerry Davison, Charles Davison, and Mike Davison.
Viewing hours will be Thursday, August 10, 2023 from 12pm – 5pm at the funeral home family will visit with friends from 6pm – 8pm at 107 Hardy Street in Poteau, Oklahoma.
