Mary Lou Craig of Spiro, Oklahoma was born July 25, 1925 in Spiro, Oklahoma to Albert Lee and Lena (Bain) Carter and passed away on December 14, 2017 in Spiro, Oklahoma at the age of 92.

 

She is survived by her daughter, Anita Johnston and husband Jeff of Spiro, three sons, Nathaniel Craig and wife Joan of Stigler, Darrell Craig and wife Ellen of Tucker, and Terry Craig of Concord, California, eight grandchildren, Keith, Dennis, John, Jackie, Barbara, Craig, Dustin, and Sarah, eleven great grandchildren, Kaylie, Kari, Noah, Dusty, Casson, Jaylee, Chelsea, Nevaeh, Christian, Dorothy, and Virginia, three sisters, Lorene Sehorn, Flossie Cheline, and Juanita Crow, and four brothers, Fred, Daniel, Larry, and Robert Carter.

 

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Lena, her husband, Nathaniel, two sisters Judean Tackett and Dorothy Pound, and one brother Marvin Carter. She was a devoted Christian and a charter member of Race Track Assembly of God and loved her family dearly.

 

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday December 19, 2017 at Murry Spur Free Will Baptist Church with Reverends Nathaniel Craig and Don Pendleton officiating.

 

Burial will follow at the Fort Smith National Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.

 

Viewing will be 12pm-7pm Monday at the funeral home. The family will visit with friends from 5pm-7pm Monday.
