Memorial service for Mary Lou (Nunley) Howerton of Spiro, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at Summerfield Cemetery in Summerfield, Oklahoma with Jerry Williams officiating.
Mary was born November 23, 1944 in Panama, Oklahoma to Agnes (Bise) Nunley and William (Bill) Nunley and passed away December 5, 2023 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was married to Troy Lee Howerton on September 15, 1967 in Stigler, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, and a son, Damon Shawn Howerton.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Troy “Bud” Howerton; sons, Troy Don Howerton and wife Breeanna, Kevin Howerton; granddaughters, Olivia Moya and husband Mitchell, Vivian Howerton; grandsons, Dalton Howerton and wife Ann Louise, Clayton Howerton, Cannon Howerton; great grandsons, Benjamin, Alex, Rhett, and Lincoln. Numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews and countless friends.
Cremation is under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
