Melvin Odell Cusick of Spiro, Oklahoma was born October 27, 1924 in Spiro, Oklahoma to John Wesley and Emma (Davis) Cusick, and passed away December 11,2 018 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 94.
He is survived by; three daughters; Carolyn Reese and husband Raymond of Van Buren, Arkansas, Cherry Anderson and husband Harry of Greenwood, Arkansas, Brenda Clark and husband Bill of Van Buren, Arkansas, ten grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Pauline Cusick, step son Harlan McLemore, three sisters; Evelena Payne, Hester Shettlesworth, Cecil Skelton, and four brothers; Bill Cusick, Julius Cusick, James Cusick, and Edward Cusick.
Odell loved to hunt, fish, play the fiddle, play cards, and whittle.
He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday December 14, 2018 at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Spiro, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Spiro, Oklahoma under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home in Spiro, Oklahoma.
