Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jessie and Billy Welch.
He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, especially fishing, and cherished the time he spent with his friends and family. Michael will be remembered for his love of the outdoors and the close bonds he shared with those around him.
Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Damon and Frances Keyes; his brother, Damon Clay Keyes, and wife Jordan; his niece and nephew, Mattie and Hunter; along with numerous other relatives, loved ones, and friends.
A graveside service honoring Michael’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Macedonia Cemetery in Pocola, Oklahoma, with Jim Cook officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
