Funeral services for Mike Gamble of Spiro, Oklahoma will be 10:00 am Monday, January 18, 2021 at Victory Worship Center in with Reverends Bryan Fouts and Roger Myers officiating. Burial will follow in the Spiro City Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Spiro. Viewing will be Sunday, January 17, 2020 from 12:00pm – 5:00pm with family visiting with friends from 1:00pm- 3:00pm at the funeral home.
Michael Gene Gamble was born on November 3, 1948 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas to Othel and Margaret (Collins) Gamble and passed away on January 13, 2021 in Spiro, Oklahoma at the age of 72. He enjoyed all sports especially football which he was very successful at. Mike was an excellent lineman and an excellent coach as well. He always made sure his players were well prepared for the game as well as life in general. He also liked telling stories and hearing about other people’s future goals in life. Farming was his life but the best part of it was just driving around the bottoms stopping and talking to people.
Mike is survived by his wife Susan Gamble; daughters, Amy Gamble, Tana Kay “TK” Gamble, Christie Banning and husband Johnny, and Leigh Norton and husband Ryan; grandchildren, Forrest Gamble, Cortney Stanton, Rylee Norton, Meg Norton, Jake Banning, and Hannah Banning; his brother, Othel “Dobber” Gamble, Jr. and wife Kay, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family, and friends.
Pallbearers will be; Terry Goldsborough, Danny Goldsborough, Nick Harper, Little Rick Deshazo, Bobby Hammontree, and Teddy Thornton. Honorary pallbearers will be; L.D. Johnson, Joe Davidson, Doug Sanders, and Stanley Webb.
