Mildred Anita “Neno” “Nita Kay” Garner 75 of Spiro passed away July 22, 2021 into the loving arms of our Lord after a long battle with illness.

Neno was born to Richard “Tot” and Icy Pearl (Rollans) Wright of Spiro on July 27, 1945 and was always the life of the party, never met a stranger, and would always be one of the first to help someone in need. She was a loving person who loved her family, friends, and pets with her whole heart, but above all loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was a faithful member of Birch Chapel Assembly of God and then attended Southside House of Worship for many years until health would no longer allow.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lester Garner, infant daughter Stephanie Diane Moore, and sister Naomi Wright Allen.

Survivors include her companion of many years Edward Bunch, her daughter Kim Shaw and husband Steve of Pocola, Grandchildren Matthew Shaw of Tulsa, Megan Shaw of Alexandria La, and Morgan Shaw of Pocola, sister Ruby Wright Nelson of Denton, Texas, and numerous other family members and friends.

Graveside funeral services will be held 10am Saturday, July 24, 2021, at the New Hope Cemetery in Spiro, Oklahoma with Reverend Shawn Caldwell officiating. The family request that mask be worn by those planning on attending services and/or viewing. Viewing hours will 9am-7pm Friday at the Mallory-Martin Funeral Home in Spiro, Oklahoma.
