Naomi Faye Evans (Crownover), 82, of Monroe, Oklahoma passed away on Sunday February 19, 2023 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Although prominently a homemaker, Naomi was a jack of all trades. She was a chef, a baker, a ranch-hand and a seamstress, but more than anything Naomi loved being a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a great grandmother, and a friend. Naomi will be truly missed by all that knew and loved her.
Naomi was born June 20, 1940 in Heavener, Oklahoma to the late Gracie (Sims) and Truman Crownover. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Evans and brother Albert Crownover. Naomi’s survivors include: 1 sister: Jane Sanders, and husband, Harold of Poteau, Ok, 3 sons: Chuck Evans, and wife, Terry of Hominy, Oklahoma ;Johnny Evans and wife, Heike of Calhoun, Oklahoma; Doug Evans of Monroe , Oklahoma. 7 grandchildren: Lacey Baggett, and husband, Anthony of Tibbs, Tn ; Lindsey Adams and husband, Matthew of Panama, Oklahoma; Paxton Evans and Wife Chelsea of Collinsville, Oklahoma; Brandi Barton, and husband Chris of Hartshorne, Oklahoma; Layne Keller and husband Seth of Poteau, Oklahoma; Brittani Cooper and fiancé Kyle McClary of Cameron, Oklahoma; and Lauren Sutton and husband, James of Heavener, Oklahoma. 15 great grandchildren: Paisley, Abigail Sophia, Violet, Pake, Oakley, Catherine, Benjamin, Emily, Jackson, Hollyn George, Olivia, Lucas, and Piper. 3 nieces, 1 nephew and numerous other relatives, friends, and loved ones.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Tre Evans, Paden Evans, Matthew Adams, Seth Keller, James Sutton, Joe Hemphill, and Jon Michael LaRosa.
Cremation is under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
