Our beloved mother, grandmother, and wife, Norma Williams Hendershot, was born on July 23, 1952, and entered the gates of heaven on October 13, 2024, where she was joyfully reunited with her two sons. Norma married her devoted husband, Roy Hendershot, in January 2023, and together they shared a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments.
Norma found joy in the simple things- she adored her husband’s cooking, treasured trips to Branson, and had a deep affection for her “spoiled rotten’ dog, Blu. Above all, her heart belonged to her family, and she found immense happiness in their “famdango” family gatherings, which brought her great joy.
She is survived by her loving husband, Roy Hendershot, of Poteau, OK; daughter Michelle Freeman and husband Dewayne of Alma, AR; son Michael Fox and wife Stephanie of Tulsa, OK; sister Sherri Williams of Cameron, OK; brother-in-law Duane Hendershot and wife Marsha of Booneville, AR; and grandchildren Andrea Lopez and partner Makayla Enochs, Britian Cowens and wife Madison, Dakota Cowens and wife Sierra, Gavin Fox and fiancée Andra, Landon Fox, Remington Fox, and Payton Herrington; bonus granddaughter Jessie Pierce and husband Lane. She was also blessed with her great-granddaughter Brynn Cowens; bonus grandchildren Kenly Pierce, Peyton Pierce, Karter Pierce, and Rylee Pierce; and soon to be born great-grandson Baylor Cowens.
Norma was preceded in death by her infant sons, Jamie and Jason Fox, her parents, LD and Christine Williams; and her aunt and uncle Alustine and Otho Williams.
A memorial service to celebrate Norma’s life will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 2:30 PM at Evans and Miller Funeral Home in Poteau, OK, with Daniel Reid officiating. Norma’s love and warmth will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
