Odice Dee Luman of Heavener, Oklahoma was born on July 7, 1941 in Conser, Oklahoma to George and Ola (Oliver) Luman and passed away June 5, 2019 in Heavener, Oklahoma at the age of 77.

Terry Hettinger and wife Helen of Edina, Missouri

Four daughters:
Lisa Marie Hughes and husband Ronnie of Perryville, Arkansas
Wendy LeAnn McGuire and husband Bill of Poteau, Oklahoma
Karen Renee’ Luman and husband Johnny of Hodgen, Oklahoma
Sheri Goodwin and husband Shawn of Lewistown, Missouri

One brother:
Benny Carrol Luman and wife Anna of Corpus Cove, Texas

Three sisters:
Mary Gladys Minor and husband Westley of Longview, Texas
Murtyl Ellen Edwards and husband Pat of Weeks, Oklahoma
Betty Marie Thompson of Agra, Oklahoma

10 grandchildren

11 great-grandchildren

Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of many friends


He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ola Luman; his first wife, Ruby Marie Luman; and four brothers, James Preston, Elmer George, Charlie Elic, and Jerry Fred Luman.


Odice was a life-long resident of the area, a member of VFW, and a member of the Independence Baptist Church. He is a veteran and retired from the U.S. Air Force, where he served in the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam era. Odice was a family man and loved his family dearly. He will be deeply missed by his loved ones and friends.


Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Saturday, June 8, 2019 at the Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel Church in Heavener, Oklahoma with Brother MC Ollar officiating.


Burial will follow in Reichert Cemetery with military honors of the Heavener VFW.


The arrangements are under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.


Pallbearers will be: Dwayne Schiffner, Fred Hight, Hank Stripling, Captain William Eric McGuire, Benny Owens, and Steven Stone.


Viewing will be from 8:30 a.m. until 8:30 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
