Opal Lorene Brown of Pocola formerly of Dustin, Oklahoma was born November 8, 1923 to Charles Grant “Bud” and Mary (Bailey) Price and passed away February 16, 2017 in Pocola at the age of 93.


Opal is survived by her husband Douglas Drew Brown of the home, four daughters, Juanita Florene Hartford of Cookeville, TN, Marvene Jane Leverette and husband William of Mulberry, AR, Eula Irene Fisher of Ft. Smith, AR, and Cathy Merryman and husband Earl Lee of Farmington, AR, one son, Michael Drew Brown of Farmington, AR, 16 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren, one brother Joe Price of Roland, OK.


She is preceded in death by her parents, one son, Johnny Mack Brown, two grandchildren, Bruce Hartford, Jr and Anita Hartford, one sister, Connie Price, and three brothers, Gene, Carol, and Jackie Price.



Graveside funeral services will be 1pm Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at the Dustin City Cemetery in Dustin, Oklahoma with Elder Douglas Brown and Mr. Jarod Brown officiating.



Viewing will be Sunday 12pm-6pm and Monday 9am-4pm, the family will be visiting with friends 4pm-6pm on Sunday.



Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Brown, Ernest Brown, Larry Brown, Steven Fisher, Wayne Hightower, and Billy Hightower.



Arrangements have been entrusted to the care and direction of Mallory Martin Funeral Home of Spiro, Oklahoma.
