Funeral Service for Ora Inez (Akins) Dees, 87 of Spiro, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 am on Friday, January 28, 2022 at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Spiro, Oklahoma with Brandon Mooneyham and Joey Underwood officiating. Burial will follow at Spiro City Cemetery in Spiro, Oklahoma under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Spiro, Oklahoma.
Ora Inez (Akins) Dees was born on September 26, 1934 in Blaine Bottoms, Oklahoma to Ettie (Duncan) Akins and Virgil Akins and passed away on January 25, 2022 in Spiro, Oklahoma. She was married to Joe Dees. She was preceded in death by her parents Virgil and Ettie Akins, five brothers, Thurman Akins, Raymond Akins, Carl Akins, Hershel Akins, and Doyle Akins, Daughter Cathy Boyd and Grandson, Jason McMurray.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Joe Dees of Tucker, Ok. Three sons, Larry Turner and wife Cheryl of Greenood, Ar, Darryl Dees and wife Tamie of Muldrow, Ok, John Dees and wife Jennifer of Keota, Ok, one sister, Ila Underwood of Panama, Ok, nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Larry Turner, Tobler Turner, John Dees, Darryl Dees, Michael Catlett, and Allen Burney.
Viewing will be Thursday 9-7pm.
