Funeral Service for Patricia Nell Donathan, 74 of Shady Point, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 20, 2023 at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau, Oklahoma with Larry Matthiesen officiating. Burial will follow at James Cemetery in Calhoun, Oklahoma under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
Patricia was born on July 20, 1949 in Poteau, Oklahoma to Betty Ruth (Brandy) James and B.D. James and passed away on October 16, 2023 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was married to Neil Donathan on September 28, 1968 in Calhoun Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; B.D. and Betty James; brother-in-law, Steve Burrows; and grandson, Jonah Lee Plummer. Patricia worked at The Community State Bank for 51 years, was a member of the Choctaw Nation, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Shady Point, Oklahoma.
Survivors include her husband, Neil Donathan; son, David Donathan and wife April; daughter, Shannon Lee and husband Jarrod; brother, Robert James and wife Linda; sisters, Mona Reed and husband Kirk, Ruth Burrows; grandchildren, Corbin Dacus, Coltan and Katie Carter, Cierra Carter, Chloe Donathan, Nick Donathan and wife Nicole, Alyssa Lee, Courtney Lee, Joseph Hunter Lee, Steven Lee and wife Kalin Lee, Kenedi Allen and Darien; 6 great grandchildren, Zoie Donathan, Leia Donathan, Nickolas Donathan, Kashus Donathan, Allie Lee, and Owen Lee; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Nick Donathan, Corbin Dacus, Coltan Carter, Joseph Lee, Steven Lee, and Jaxon James.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 18, 2023 from 5:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.
