Peggy Jo Terry of Heavener, Oklahoma was born May 13, 1925 in Vernon, Texas to James Hobart and Myrtle Lena (Woolever) Parks and passed away February 16, 2019 in Texarkana, Arkansas at the age of 93.

She is survived by:

 

Three sons:
Jimmy Terry of Chandler, Arizona
Danny Terry and wife Diana of Kingwood, Texas
Billy Terry and wife Margaret of Nashville, Tennessee

One daughter:
Gayla Lacefield and husband Jack of Nashville, Arkansas

10 grandchildren:

Jeffrey Terry and wife Christy
Jamie Terry
Charlie Terry and wife Kaitlin
Lance Lacefield and wife Imara
Tracy Earls and husband B.J.
Michelle Terry
Stacy Dunigan and husband Jimmy
Billi Jo Terry
Lauren Wilson and husband Brandon

22 great-grandchildren:

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Donald Leo Parks and wife, Missie.

 

Peggy Jo graduated from Wewoka High School and worked at Tinker Field Air Force Base as a Key Punch Operator. She married Charles Leo Terry on April 24, 1948. She retired from Alltel Telephone Company after 25 years where she worked in the Heavener and Poteau area. Peggy Jo was a member of the Heavener Church of Christ. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Peggy Jo will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

 

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 18, 2019 at Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Ken Breeding officiating.

 

Burial will follow in Heavener Memorial Park under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.

 

Pallbearers will be: Her grandsons

 

Viewing will be from noon until 8:00 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
