Philip Matthew Jones of Pocola Oklahoma was born August 12, 1956 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to William Matthew and Erlyne Isabel (Calma) Jones and passed away August 25, 2018 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 62.
He is survived by his wife; Brenda of the home, two sons; Aaron Jones and wife Sarah of Pocola, Oklahoma, Brent Jones and wife Jennifer of Pocola, Oklahoma, six grandchildren; Dylan, AJ, Caleb, Haylee, Grant, Noah, one sister; Donna Farned of Spiro, Oklahoma, two brothers; Tony Jones and wife Evanell of Pocola, Oklahoma, and Steve Jones of Spiro, Oklahoma.
Philip was preceded in death by his parents, Matthew and Erlyne (Calma) Jones, one sister, Connie Lairamore, and one brother, Bob Jones.
He was retired from Baldor after working there for 22 years. Philip was the proud owner of Silver Barn Auto Sales in Pocola. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and fishing but his most beloved hobby was spending time with his grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 am Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at The Healing Place Church in Fort Smith, Arkansas (4200 Towson by Car Mart) with Reverend Don Moore officiating.
Burial will follow at Macedonia Cemetery in Pocola, Oklahoma under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home in Spiro, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers will be; Chris Hickman, Joey Rowe, Mark Steely, Mike Lairamore, Kenny Garner, Kelly Jones, Shea Steely, and Larry Likens.
