Phyllis Marjetta Williams, 81, of Riverside, Missouri passed away on July 5th, 2021, surrounded by her friends and family.

Phyllis was born on January 29th, 1940 to Durell and Opal Morgan in Wister, Oklahoma and immediately brought joy and laughter into the world. She would be the first of their 10 children and learned the value of love and responsibility that comes from a being raised in a large family.

She met and fell in love with Eldon Williams and the two were inseparable. Phyllis and Eldon married on July 28th 1956, they were married for fifty-seven years and had three sons, Arlie, Larry, and Bruce. Phyllis was a fiercely dedicated mom to all of her children, raising all three of them and was always there for them. Family came first and was above all else to Phyllis, a value she instilled in all those around her. The hole left by her absence is impossible to fill.

Phyllis loved being a home maker , a mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved her boys and she loved gardening growing many types of plants and flowers . She and Eldon loved watching the birds that always came to visit (as Phyllis always had food out for them. She loved when all the grandchildren and great grandchildren came to visit . Sunday’s were the highlight of the week when the family would gather at their house. It meant a lot to Phyllis to be there for her children and grandchildren like she had grown up with in Wister Oklahoma, where her grandparents were just across the street or only minutes away.

Phyllis was always crocheting and quilting for her family. Her embroidery work was quite beautiful as well. Phyllis enjoyed going to the casino and bingo nights with Eldon and other family & friends. Phyllis’s thoughts she shared; “I had a good life, and to me that’s about the greatest accomplishment a person can do. I hope all of you are able to have a life as good as mine has been. HAPPINESS CAN’T BE BEAT!”

Phyllis was predeceased by her parents Durell and Opal Morgan, her husband Eldon Williams, her son Larry Williams, and her sister Donna Fuller. She is survived by two sons Arlie and wife Shannon, and Bruce and his wife Colleen, siblings Joann & husband Podie Meeks, Bess Meeh, Geraldine Duncan, Glenda & husband Donny Shadwick, Barbara McCollom, Budd Morgan, Lana Klein, Cliff & wife Shelly Morgan, sister in- law Caroline & husband Gerald Ritter and brother in- law J.E. She was also survived by five great-grand children, Genaesia, Amina, Odin, Sophia, and Nova. As well as many cousins, nieces and nephews and extended family of Eldon's, all of who were her family and held a special place in her heart. Thanks to all of you who called, wrote and remembered her during this trying time for her, it really made a difference.

Thanks to Sam Pierce for all the stories, we loved hearing them and she did too. A special thanks to Fathers Andrew and Joe, from St. Therese Catholic Church for their love, dedication, and prayers this past year.
