Funeral Service for Ray Adams, 62 of Ida, Michigan formerly of Spiro, Oklahoma will be at 1:00pm on Friday, April 14, 2023 at First Assembly of God in Spiro, Oklahoma with Reverend Ron Barker officiating. Burial will follow at Spiro City Cemetery in Spiro, Oklahoma under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
Raymond Dale Adams was born on January 19, 1961 in Bakersfield, California to Janice Marie (VanDyke) Adams and John Thomas “Bob” Adams and passed away on April 7, 2023 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He was married to Tamara (O’Flinn) Adams on August 20, 1982 in Spiro, Oklahoma.
Survivors include his wife, Tamara Adams; sons, Jeremy Adams and wife Heather, Darren Adams and wife Larissa; grandchildren, Lillian, Clinton, Eoghan, Amelia, Octavia, Gavin, Abigail, Evelyn and Lucia; sister, Mary Jo Kilgore and husband Fred; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Janice Adams. He served in the United States Air Force and later worked as a Pharmacy Tech for the VA Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan; he was named Pharmacy Tech, Civilian of the Year and Pharmacy FNCO of the PACAAF. Ray also served as a Pastor for the Church of God at The Church Under the Bridge in Oklahoma City and also preaching in Washington, Canada, Guam and Okinawa.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Adams, Darren Adams, Ryan Adams, Ethan Hudson, Fred Kilgore, Tim O’Flinn, Brett King, and Neal Vanderzwaag.
Viewing and Visitation will be 5:00pm-7:00pm Thursday at the funeral home.
