Memorial Service for Raymond Lee Roberts, 80 of Poteau, Oklahoma will be held at a later date. Cremation is under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.

Raymond was born on June 21, 1942 in Caraway, Arkansas to Callie (Grimsley) and John Roberts and passed away on November 4, 2022 in Heavener, Oklahoma. He was married to Lynn Roberts on August 24, 1991 in Escondido, California. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Callie Roberts; daughter, Lisa Ruff; brothers, Phillip Roberts, Jerry Roberts, and John Roger Roberts. Raymond gave his heart to the Lord when he was 8 years old. He was a song leader and Sunday School Teacher.

He played men's softball and led men's fellowship, traveled to Mexico to oversee construction of a Bible College, and was a member of the Men on Mission to build concrete basketball courts at a Bible Camp in Arizona. Ray owned and operated a concrete construction company for 50 years, but his favorite occupation was hospice Chaplin. He was the song leader for the weekly chapel at Talihina Veterans Center and was lovingly referred to as "The Padre".

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Lynn Roberts; daughters, Angela Irons, and husband Phillip, Jennifer Dugan and husband Steve; sons, Shawn Roberts, and wife Sherry, Shane Roberts, and wife Hannah all of Post Falls, Idaho; sister, Barbara Balding of California; brother, Jimmy Roberts of Idaho; 11 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
