Rebecca Lynn Billy, 54, passed away on August 11, 2025, at her home in Poteau, Oklahoma. Rebecca was born on October 1, 1970, in Talihina, Oklahoma to parents James Edward and Patricia Ann Hayes Billy Sr. Rebecca was of the Baptist faith. She worked for the Choctaw Nation for over 16 years; she cooked and helped at the Dale Cox Community Center for many years. Rebecca was preceded in death by her father, James Billy Sr and grandparents, William and Rina Billy.
Rebecca is survived by her mother, Patricia Billy of Poteau, her husband, Gerald Oaks of the home, four daughters, Danielle Jordan, Tammie King and Veronica King all of Poteau and Tiffany Watkins of California, four brothers, James Billy and wife Tammy of Panama, Daniel Billy and wife Tammy of Panama, Albert Billy of Henryetta and James Stacy of Oklahoma City, two sisters, Patsy Tolle and Steven of Wilburton, Danna Stacy of Vian, four grandchildren, Joseph Ullom, Jack Jordan, Sherman Jordan and Ariel Ullom, along with many other relatives and loved ones.
The Celebration of Life Services for Rebecca will be held 1:30pm – Friday, August 22, 2025, at The Cedars on Dewey 520 Dewey Ave Poteau, Oklahoma. The Family of Rebecca Billy will greet friends at the conclusion of her memorial service, also in The Cedars on Dewey.
