Funeral Service for Renila “Dottie” Nixon, 76 of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 11:00am on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Spiro, Oklahoma with Reverend Vernon Stone officiating.
She was born on February 2, 1945 in McCurtain, Oklahoma to Chestina Jean (Tyler) Warren Williams and Edmon Calloway Warren and passed away on February 6, 2021 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her father, Edmon Warren; mother and step father, Chestina and Willard Williams; brothers, Jerl Warren, infant brother Gary Warren, and grandson, Chad. She was a past member of the Order of Eastern Star in Keota and the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Spiro. Dottie had many jobs throughout her life but mostly as a seamstress. She could make and sew anything. She made many friends, and if she liked you, you knew it, and if she didn’t you knew it as well. Dottie loved her family dearly and loved to dance. She gained her wings and is dancing on the streets of gold.
Survivors include her sons, Eddie Bowden and wife Laura, Terry Bowden and wife Jan; grandchildren, Jonathan, Ty, Casey, Reyn, Dustin, and Drew; brother, Wayne Warren and wife Sue; sister, Kathy Myers and husband Billy; sister-in-law, Sandra Warren, numerous great grandchildren, nieces nephews, cousins, other family and loved ones.
Viewing will be Tuesday, February 9, 2021 12pm -7pm with the family greeting friends from 5pm – 7pm at the funeral home.
