Reshawn Levi McCroskey, 22, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2025, surrounded by those who loved him most. Born on May 8, 2003, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to Leslie Marie McCroskey, Reshawn was, from the beginning, God’s gracious gift and our bright shining light.
Though Reshawn  never spoke a single word, his heart was loud and clear, a language made of love and light, that everyone could hear. He could not walk, yet how he soared, on wings the world can’t see, he taught us strength and quiet grace, and what true love can be.
They said his time would not be long, but God had other plans, for twenty-two bright, precious years, he lived within our hands. He saved us more than we saved him, our angel here on earth, a soul so pure, so full of light, of far more than this world’s worth.
Now Heaven hears the words he spoke, that only love could trace, and though we ache, we know he shines, with joy upon his face.
Reshawn is preceded in death by his grandfather Wesley McCroskey; grandparents Joe and Mary Soriano; aunts Diana Bull and Josie Moore; and uncle Joe Soriano III.
Reshawn is survived by his mother Leslie McCroskey; loving grandmother Linda McCroskey; uncle Michael McCroskey and his wife Carmella; aunt Angie McCroskey; cousins Whitney Lambert, Rebecca Lambert, Amyiah Riley, and Brayden Armstrong; as well as numerous cousins, extended family members, and countless others whose lives were touched by his light.
A Celebration of Life for Reshawn will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau, Oklahoma, with Jim Cook officiating, under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
Viewing will take place earlier that day, Saturday, November 1, from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM, at the funeral home.
