Rev. Jerry Alfred Yarberro
A Man that was devoted to his Lord and his Family.

Rev. Jerry Alfred Yarberro, 76, passed away on March 15, 2023 at his residence in Pocola, OK. He was born in Fort Smith, AR. on January 15, 1947 to Leroy A. and Lorene F. (Wilson) Yarberro.

Jerry married his "Sugar Pie" Shirley W. Matlock on December 5, 1968 in Muldrow, OK. They celebrated 54 years of marriage this past December. Jerry attended Southside High School and then obtained his Associates of Biblical Studies from the Nazarene Bible College in Colorado Springs, CO. Jerry and Shirley entered the ministry as pastor and wife where they served in several churches throughout Oklahoma, Arkansas and Indiana.
Jerry also owned his own upholstery business alongside his wife, where he became quite a perfectionist with his skill set.

Jerry and Shirley were part of a Gospel Singing Group here locally called the "Eastern Lights with Joy." They sang together in their ministry throughout their lives while serving their Lord in song and the written Word.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was predeceased by a sister, Violet, 3 brothers, Alton, Wyland, Vernon, his son, Keith, 1 nephew, Daniel.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Shirley Yarberro of Pocola, OK is his daughter, Sharleen Harvell and spouse John Harvell of Pocola, OK. 2 Grandsons, Johnathan Harvell of Aurora, CO. and Timothy Harvell of Owasso, OK. 1 Great Grandson, Emiliano Harvell of Aurora, CO. 4 Brothers, Ronnie of Fort Smith, AR, Micheal of Bryant, AR., Ricky of Hackett, AR. and Aaron of Fort Smith, AR. 2 Sisters, Barbara Ramer of Fort Smith, AR. and Angie Yarbrough of Fort Smith, AR. including many nieces and nephews.

Active Pallbearers are Johnathan Harvell, Timothy Harvell, Micheal Yarberro, Ricky Yarberro, Aaron Yarberro, and Tim Brawdy.

Honorary Pallbearers are Brandon Yarbrough, Nick Yarbrough, G.W. Ramer, Anthony Yarberro, Justin Yarberro, and Daniel Smith.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at the
Evans & Miller Funeral Home 411 Dewey Ave, Poteau, OK. on Saturday, March 18 at 2:00pm with visitation on Friday, March 17 between 5pm-8pm.
