Reverend Paul Dean McDaniel age 79, of Heavener, Oklahoma was born November 15, 1937 in Howe, Oklahoma to Paul M. and Alma (Parker) McDaniel.

 

He walked through Heavens gates August 13, 2017, with a smile on his face finally to rejoice with his Lord and Savior, free from all his worldly pain.

 

Left behind to cherish his memories are:

One daughter and son in law:
Shana Greer and husband Chris of Grand Cane, Louisiana

One son and daughter in law:
Richie McDaniel and wife Zell of Heavener, Oklahoma

Five grandchildren:
Alisha McDaniel, Travis McDaniel and wife Angela, Kyle Roop and wife Erica, Daniel Roop, Karah (Roop) Fulghum and husband Scott.

Five great grandchildren

Two nephews:
James McDaniel and Jeffery McDaniel both of Oregon

His church family and a host of other family and friends

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 50 years, Norma “Sue” (Tomlin) McDaniel to whom he devoted his every breath through sickness and in health including 9 years of her own illness, two brothers; Douglas McDaniel and Stanley McDaniel.

 

Paul lived his life serving God and others. He loved sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

 

He was a church pastor at numerous churches for over 40 years.

 

He loved his Lord and led many people to the Lord with unwavering faith and did so until his final breath.

 

Paul loved to fish and loved Redman chewing tobacco. He also had a love for music which he happily shared with others.

 

He always had a smile and a CD to give you. Most of all the loved his family, his wife, his children and grandchildren. He was never ashamed to show his love for his God or his family. Paul was a wonderful daddy, grandfather (aka Peeps to many), mentor and friend.

 

There will never be another one like him.

 

Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 18, 2017 at Lovings Cemetery with Chaplin Jeff Little officiating.

 

Burial will follow under the direction of Dowden- Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.
