Rhonda Ann Karl of Spiro, Oklahoma was born August 10, 1965 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Ronald Dewayne and Tommie Joann (Black) Walton and passed away July 29, 2026 in Spiro, Oklahoma at the age of 60.

 

She is survived by:

 

Three sons:

Chris Yancey and Billie of Muldrow, Oklahoma

Randy Yancey and Katie of Fort Smith, Arkansas

Ethan Karl and Tiffany Williams-Karl of Spiro, Oklahoma

 

Two brothers:

Howard Walton and wife Tina of Pocola, Oklahoma

Johnny Black of Henryetta, Oklahoma

 

10 grandchildren:

Christopher, Abby Jo, Brandon, Hunner, Lyle, Kipton, Terry, Jordan, Zelda, and Kaylee

 

Her fur babies and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loved ones, and a host of friends

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ronald and Tommie Walton; and her husband, Daniel Dale Karl, Sr.

 

Rhonda was a beloved homemaker and longtime resident of the community. She found joy in quilting, camping, showcasing her culinary skills, and hosting delightful cookouts. Most of all, Rhonda treasured the moments spent with her loved ones and devotedly cared for her beloved pets. She will be remembered for her warm spirit and the joy she brought to those around her.

 

A memorial service to honor Rhonda’s life will be 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at the U. S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas with Brother Jerry Owens officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction and care of Dowden-Roberts Funeral & Cremation Center of Poteau, Oklahoma. “LeFlore County’s First & Only On-Site Crematory”

 

Viewing for family and friends will be from Noon until 8:00 p.m., Monday, August 10th at the funeral home.
