Rickey Lynn Roberts, 63, of Pocola, Oklahoma, passed away on September 4, 2025, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born on December 23, 1961, in Poteau, Oklahoma, to Doris (Thompson) Schneider and Delmar Roberts.
Rick proudly served his community as a police officer with the Heavener Police Department for 10 years. He later worked for the Hamilton Correctional Department for 3 years, continuing his commitment to public service and safety.
A true outdoorsman at heart, Rick enjoyed gardening, camping, hunting, and fishing, especially when sharing those moments with family and friends. He was also an avid wrestling fan and would take any chance he could get to watch a match, always cheering with passion.
He will be fondly remembered for his signature phrase: “Love ya, see ya, bye”, a loving goodbye he never failed to say at the end of every phone call, often followed by a quick hang-up that left a lasting smile on the hearts of his family.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Wayne Roberts, Floyd Roberts, Donald Roberts, Vernon Roberts; sister, Evie Falkenberry; and nephew, Joseph “Joey” Knight.
He is survived by his loving wife, Darla Roberts; children Brandy Dawn McKenna, Christopher Roberts and wife Santana, Tyler Brown, and Eric Brown and wife Tesia; grandchildren Dax Brown, Tanner Brown, Weston Roberts, Corbin Roberts, Cheyenne Roberts, Lauryn Williams, and Madelyn Williams. He is also survived by his siblings Sheila Noggle and husband Jim, Duane Rainwater and wife Dena, Ashlei Hassell and husband David, along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, loved ones, and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Evans Chapel of Memories in Pocola, Oklahoma, with Jim Cook officiating under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
