Ricky James Belt of Poteau, Oklahoma was born December 22, 1958 in Stigler, Oklahoma to Denver and Faye (Johnson) Carey and passed away January 2, 2021 in Keota, Oklahoma at the age of 62.

He is survived by his wife, Marti Ray Belt; son, Ricky James Belt, Jr. and wife Jennifer; grandson, domino partner and fishing buddy, Colton Lynn Belt. They were all his pride and joy. He is also survived by his sisters, Sandra Hoffman, Barbara Byrd and husband Ronny, Cheryl Owens and husband Randy, Sharon Heist, Karen Popejoy and husband Kenny, Regina Sikes and husband Matt; brother-in-law, Jim Ray and wife Carolyn; sisters-in-law, Glenda Knost and husband Ron, Kelli Kendrick, as well as aunts, cousins nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, that he loved so much. Special friend, Jerry Hopkins his wife Rhonda and their family, also Mike Krebbs and the Mike Krebbs’ Construction family and all the drivers past and present.

Rick was preceded in death by his mother and father Denver and Faye Carey, mother and father-in-law, Jess and Freda Ray; brother-in-law, Buddy Kendrick; his grandparents and aunts and uncles and Charles Belt.

Funeral Services will be 2:00pm Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at First Assembly of God Church in Keota, Oklahoma with Reverend Jack Slone, Reverend Heath Cole and Reverend Ron Cole officiating. Burial will follow at Antioch Cemetery in Stigler, Oklahoma under the direction of Grace Funeral Service in Poteau, Oklahoma. Viewing will be Tuesday from 9:00am – 7:00 pm with the family greeting friends from 5:00pm – 7:00 pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be; Adam Castillo, Daniel Monks, Joe Qualls, Hunter Hopkins, David Holley, and Sam Walls.  Honorary Pallbearers will be; Wes, Steve, Waylon, Loren, Val, David Powell, Rick Shores, Rickey Turpin and Kenny Powell.
