Many people count wealth in physical and material items. Dad was a believer in true wealth – those things in life that money can’t buy and death can’t take away. His career took him, and his family, to many beautiful places across the country.
He loved to laugh and held his family as the most treasured of gifts bestowed upon him by God.
His legacy is defined by the work ethic he taught his children and the selfless acts of community support he always gave to those in need. We were truly blessed, as his children, to call him Dad and Papa to his grandchildren.
Until we see him again, he will always be in our hearts.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Minnie Williams, his daughter Barbara Jean (Williams) Lockaby, his grandson Dustin Shawn Duncan, and his 13 brothers and sisters.
Robert is survived by his wife of 69 years, Billie J. (Ryburn) Williams, his children Randy Duncan, Marilyn K. (Duncan) Taylor, Sue Covey and husband Trinity, Robert Lee Williams, and Jimmy Williams and wife Dena, his grandchildren Danny Lockaby, Misty Thompson, Mindy Hale, Brandi Duncan Barton, Laura House, Kali Beason, Bryan Lockaby, Anthony Taylor, Alexandria Hall, and Gabrielle Williams, his 22 great grandchildren, and 9 great great grandchildren, his sisters Bonnie Finchum and Clara Crawford, and last but not least, his beloved puppy named Punkin, along with numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

The Celebration of Life Services for Robert will be held 10am – Friday, October 23, 2026, at The Cedars on Dewey 520 Dewey Ave Poteau, Oklahoma with Jimmy Williams and Pastor Stan King officiating. The Family of Robert Williams will greet friends after the conclusion of his service, also in The Cedars on Dewey.
