Roberta Louise Lynch, 83, of Wister, OK passed away Thursday, June 17, 2021 in Ft. Worth, TX. Roberta was born February 2, 1938 to Robert & Jessie (Collier) Holbert. She was a teacher. Roberta was a great believer in Christ, was actively involved at Bethel Baptist Church and previously attended Bible Study Fellowship for years. She considered herself a lifelong learner, was an avid reader, enjoyed quilting, crafting and taught quilting/sewing classes at the library.

She was a founding member of The Friends of the Wister Public Library, and served as President till her death in addition to serving as a Trustee on the Board of Directors for the SE Oklahoma Library System. She also volunteered at Choices Pregancy Center since its inception. Roberta was preceded in death by her husband, W.T. Lynch; her mother & step-father, Jessie & Dub Messer; father, Robert Holbert & step-mother Lorene; sister, Betty Holbert.

She is survived by her daughter & son in law, Dea & Oliver Graham; brothers, Larry Messer (Sharon) & Tim Messer (Dana) all of Ft. Worth, TX; sisters, Nancy Hines (Daryl) & Jean Kathman all of Mena, AR; other relatives, loved ones and many friends.

Services will be 2 pm, Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at Bethel Baptist Church, Wister, OK with Pastor Josh Effinger officiating. Burial will follow at Maxey Cemetery, Wister, OK. Pallbearers will be Larry Messer, Tim Messer, Oliver Graham, Gene Langley, Adam Langley & Simon Billy.

In Lieu of Flowers donations may be made to Friends of Wister Library, Gideons, or Choices Pregnancy Center.
