Memorial Service for Ronnie Franklin Winters, 74 of Hodgen, Oklahoma will be at 4:00 pm on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau, Oklahoma with Reverend Jim Cook officiating.
Ronnie was born on July 23, 1950 in Hackett, Arkansas to Melba (Helen) Winters and John Paul Winters and passed away on August 28, 2024 in Hodgen, Oklahoma. He was married to Iola Winters on September 29, 1995 in Mena, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Helen Winters; uncle, JC Winters. Ronnie was a lover of all things outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, camping or just spending some quiet time alone in the woods. Ronnie loved spending time with his family and friends of whom he had many. The grand kids held a special place in his heart. Anyone that knew Ronnie knew that his love and compassion for stray dogs was legendary. His home was always full of family, love and his numerous dogs.
Survivors include his spouse; Iola Winters; daughters, Tina Peeters and husband Robert, Angela Turner and husband James; sons, Ronnie Paul, and Timothy Winters; stepchildren, Bonnie Brooks, Sherri Clement, Alisa Lawson, and Dovie Telesco; brothers, Paul Langwell, and Dale Langwell; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; other relatives and loved ones.
Cremation is under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
