The family will greet friends on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home in Spiro, Oklahoma. Viewing will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ronnie was born on March 3, 1949, in Tulare, California, to Betty Gene (Beeler) Mackey and Albert Lee Mackey. He passed away on September 29, 2026, in Spiro, Oklahoma.
Ronnie was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, a devoted family man, and, above all, a man of unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. He had a heart for taking care of others and spent his life being a source of love, strength, and support for his family. Whether he was needed as a father, grandfather, uncle, or son, Ronnie was always there, putting the needs of those he loved before his own.
Some of Ronnie’s greatest joys were found in the simple things in life. He loved hunting and fishing, but nothing brought him greater happiness than spending time with his family. He especially treasured every moment with his daughter, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. His love for his family was evident in everything he did, and his caring heart and selfless nature left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Ronnie was a faithful son of God and a strong believer in his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. His faith was the foundation of his life, and his family finds peace and comfort in knowing that he has been welcomed into the arms of Jesus and joyfully reunited with his loved ones in Heaven. Although he will be deeply missed, the love he gave, the memories he created, and the example he set will live on in the hearts of his family forever.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Betty and Albert Mackey; his wife, Patsy Mackey; his brothers, Monte “Blue” Mackey and Ernie Mackey; and his loving aunt, Geraldine Brewer.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Shayla Jackson and husband Brian; grandchildren, Sean Jackson and Alexis Jackson; niece, Chris Mackey-Chappell and husband Buck; nephew, Jamie Mackey; great-nieces, Andrea Hammers and husband Tyler, Ainslee Chappell, and Everlee Chappell; aunts, Imogene Barker and Donna Sue London; along with numerous other relatives and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Sean Jackson, Brian Jackson, Jamie Mackey, Buck Chappell, Tyler Hammers, and Danny Brewer. Honorary pallbearers will be Hudson Hammers and Baker Hammers.
