Funeral Service for Rosa Lee Odom “Bootsie”, 91 of Poteau, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday May 11, 2023 at Covenant Church in Poteau, Oklahoma with Reverend Keith Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau, Oklahoma under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
Rosa was born on June 2, 1931 in Westphalia, Missouri to Grace Elizabeth (Widener) Caldwell and Euel Leonard Caldwell and arrived in Heaven on May 7, 2023 to meet her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
She was married to Henry Doyle Odom on April 8, 1947 in Fort Smith Arkansas. He preceded her in death on August 13, 1995. She received her high school diploma after she attended Adult Education Classes.
She assisted her husband with book work for Colonial Bread and in Henry’s Feed and Market. After she retired, she worked at Red Wagon Steak House. She attended Covenant Church in Poteau. Her greatest joy was her family. Her family knew she was their prayer warrior as she prayed daily for each of them.
Survivors include her son, John Stanley Odom and daughter-in-law Debbie of Howe, Oklahoma; her daughter, Henrietta Luttmer and son-in-law Albert of Poteau, Oklahoma; and daughter-in-law, Susie Odom of Poteau, Oklahoma; her six precious grandchildren, Mike Odom and wife Valerie of Poteau Oklahoma; Chris Odom and wife Debra of Jenks, Oklahoma; Robert Luttmer and wife Jennifer of Piedmont, Oklahoma; Ryan Luttmer and wife Tiffany of Mena, Arkansas; Kaylee Odom of Yukon, Oklahoma and Trevor Odom of Howe, Oklahoma; Her ten lovable great-grandchildren, Morgan Odom, Dean Odom, Aubrey Odom, Carson Odom, Paxson Odom, Hudson Odom, Jacob Luttmer, Bryson Luttmer Matthew Luttmer and Charli Luttmer, and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Larry Doyle Odom; her sister, Beverly Jean Embrey; two brothers, Jerry Ray Caldwell, and Robert Howard Caldwell.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Mike Odom, Chris Odom, Robert Luttmer, Ryan Luttmer, Kaylee Odom, and Trevor Odom.
Family will visit with friends at 1:00 PM before the service at Covenant Church.
