Roy Lee Postell, Sr. was born on September 30, 1933 in Bay City, Texas, and passed away February 14, 2021 in Bokoshe, Oklahoma at the age of 87.

He is survived by his wife, Ernestine “Tina” Postell of the home; children, Roy Postell, Jr. and wife Kelly of Woodland, California, Edith Postell of Astoria, Oregon, James Postell and wife Janet of Astoria, Oregon, Kay Meddock and husband Dwight of Spiro, Oklahoma. Teena Bearden and husband Wayne of Doodridge, Arkansas, Karen Knarr and husband Charlie of Bokoshe, Oklahoma, Brenda Hund and husband Tim of Wake Village, Texas; brother, Mike Postell and wife Betty of Rumsey, California; brother-in-law, Delbert “Dale” Crosant of Rumsey, California, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives, and loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James R. and Opal E. Postell; sisters, Darlene Crosant, Vern Luper and her husband Fred, and his first wife, the mother of his children, Silvia Postell. Roy loved his family more than anything. He was a Disabled Navy Veteran. Roy loved NASCAR and was a race car driver and mechanic, his 1947 Ford was his favorite. He wanted everything painted red with #37 on it. He was kind to everyone and never told anyone “No”. On warm days you would find him on his tractor or growing something in his greenhouse. His favorite pastime was looking up family history.
