Roy Lynn Fox, age 73, of Claremore, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2025, in Claremore. He was born on August 8, 1952, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to Margie (Martin) Fox and Arel Fox, Sr.Roy was a gentle soul who brought light and joy to everyone he met. Known for his sweet, loving, and innocent nature, Roy had a special way of connecting with people and animals alike. He especially loved caring for birds, squirrels, and his many cherished pets over the years. His kind heart and gentle spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Margie and Arel Fox, Sr., and his brothers, Arel Fox, Jr. and Earl Fox.
He is survived by his nieces, Holly Brandt and husband Douglas, and Lisa Zachare and husband John; his nephew, Aaron Fox; as well as numerous other relatives, loved ones, and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Shady Point Cemetery in Shady Point, Oklahoma, with Jim Cook officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
Visitation will take place on Friday, September 19, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Doug Brandt, John Zachare, T.J. Brawdy, Curtis Brandt, Nathan Hornbeak, and Richard Brandt.
