Samuel Donell Hall, Jr.

Samuel Donell Hall, Jr., 56, was called home to heaven on August 14, 2025. He was born on November 7, 1968 in San Angelo, Texas to Samuel Donell Hall, Sr. and Joyce Rae (Greenwood) Thompson. Sam was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished brother, and a faithful friend. He shared 7 years of love and partnership with his wife, Candace “Shirley Mae”. We hold to the promise of scripture “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” ~ Psalms 34:18.

Samuel is survived by:

His wife: Candace Hall aka “Shirley Mae” of the home

His children: Mitchell Nolaso and wife Brittany, Christian Nolaso and wife Whitney, and Asia Hall

His step-children: Jessica Rainbolt and husband Alan, and Cheyenne Caldwell

Five brothers: Vergie Greenwood, Jemie Hall, James Hall and wife Kia, George Hall, and Roman Hall

Three sisters: Tonya Jones and husband Leonard, Sonja Graham, and Louise Hall

His grandchildren: Alina Nolasco, Marisol Nolasco, Sophia Nolasco, Cruz Nolaso, Lyric Nolasco, and Chris Charles

His step-grandchildren: Madelyn Lawrence, Gracelyn Rainbolt, Kage Caldwell, and Isla Lester

Special cousins: Herman Hoffman, Robert Smith, Jr., and Herbert Chapman

Numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family, and a host of friends

 

Sam was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Hall, Sr. and Joyce Thompson; his grandmother, Eunice Hall; and his great-grandmother, Willie Bea White.

 

A memorial service to honor Sam’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Yanush Assembly of God Church in Yanush, Oklahoma with Brother Nathan Sherer officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Cremation Center of Poteau, Oklahoma. “LeFlore County’s Only On-Site Crematory”
