Funeral Service for Scotty Bratton, 93 of Poteau, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau, Oklahoma with Jim Cook officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau, Oklahoma under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.

Scotty was born on February 21, 1930 in Poteau, Oklahoma to Floy (Harrold) Bratton and Luther Bratton and passed away on May 12, 2023 in Poteau, Oklahoma.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Genelle Bratton, one unborn daughter; parents, Luther and Floy Bratton; two brothers, Tommy and David Bratton; and sister, Doris Johnson. Scotty was a member of First United Methodist Church of Poteau, Oklahoma. He was in the United States Air Force. Scotty was a hard worker, loved to farm and ranch, raise cattle and big gardens especially watermelon and cantaloupe. His favorite past times were hanging a trot line in the Poteau River, he loved catching big flathead catfish.
Survivors include his son, Gary and wife Diana Bratton; nephews, Scottie McDaniel, Tom White, David White; great nephews, Scotty White, Graig Curtis and wife Ashley; niece, Cheeta Dolven grandchildren, Jake Hindman and wife Rebel, Brock Hindman and wife Mariah; great grandchildren, Isaiah Hindman, Miriam Hindman, Joanna Hindman, Ruth Hindman, Ryder Hindman, Jackson Short, and Carly Short; numerous other relatives and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be David Pickel, Johnny Baker, Gary Basham, Bob Carter, Jake Hindman, Brock Hindman, Charlie McDaniel, and Scotty White.
Honorary Pallbearers will be JR Sockey, Butch Gilstrap, Tom White, Joe Davison, Scottie McDaniel, and Carrol Hale.
Visitation will be Monday, May 15, 2023 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
