Shouting praise, glory and thankfulness to our merciful and loving God as he called my momma home to eternity on May 1, 2023. We praise you Lord!

Sherry was many things to many people throughout her 77 years on this earth. She was born to James Douglas Martin and Ella Mae (Collins) Martin on April 15, 1946 in Ventura, California. The first of nine children she was born into the role that would become her favorite calling the Lord gave her which was a caretaker to all who needed her. First as a helper, second mom to all her siblings, then to her own family and grandbabies. But, it didn't end there. Every person who came into contact with her that had a need she would do whatever she could to help, always with that special touch only she had.

On April 4, 1964 she married the love of her life, her soul mate, Lloyd Annerson Crase in Stoney Point, Oklahoma, and started their own family. Life wasn't always easy, at times things were very lean, money scarce, but their love was abundant, never wavering, always strong, solid, and evident to all who knew them. They lived a life rooted in the love of Jesus Christ, a solid foundation of love, faith, and family. Although she worked many years throughout her life her greatest job, the one she held most clearly was Wife, Mother, Ninnie, Sister, and Friend. A homemaker and all that comes with that. A role model to those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of what a wife, mother, lover of Jesus is and should be, and No one will or could ever fill her shoes.

Sherry was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Annerson Crase; grandson, Colt Wesley Claunts; parents, James and Ella Martin; father and mother in law, Greeley and Margie Crase, and sister, Mae Crandell.

She is survived by her daughter, Sissy Cripps and husband Jarrod of Wister; granddaughter, Haley Nelson and husband Jeremy of Poteau; brothers, Richard Martin of Poteau, Randy Martin and wife of Emma of Howe, Jimmy Martin and wife Sharon of Spiro, Danny Martin and wife Sharon of Haywood, Jerry Martin of Spiro; sisters, Brenda Hollan and husband Olen of Summerfield, Debra Cooper and husband Stan of Summerfield, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family has requested that all attending wear bright colors, especially yellow, her favorite color. Something bright and cheerful, just like she lived her life...colorful!

Pallbearers will be Jarrod Cripps, Jeremy Nelson, Randy Martin, Rick Martin, Jerry Martin, Olen Hollan, Jimmy Martin, and Bill Bullard.
