Shirley Ann Pierce, age 78, of Panama, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2025, at her home surrounded by loved ones. She was born on January 22, 1947, in Panama, Oklahoma, to Dortha (Shaffer) Wagley and Roscoe Wagley.
On April 16, 1965, Shirley married Jimmy Pierce, and together they shared 60 years of marriage, raising a family rooted in love, faith, and devotion. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. She was a lifelong member of Panama Assembly of God Church, where she found strength in her faith and community.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roscoe and Dortha Wagley, and her sister, Patricia Skinner.
Shirley is survived by her loving husband, Jimmy Pierce; sons, Sammy Pierce and wife Jill, and Kenny Pierce; daughter, Kimberly Sampson and husband Kendall; grandchildren, Fallon Williams, Elliott Pierce, Joshua Harper, McKenzie Billy, and Corbin Pierce; great-grandchildren, Jade Williams, Madelyn Williams, Kollin Robison, Sawyer Pierce, Jhett Harper, Silas Harper, Lawson Billy, and Trace Billy; brother, R.D. Wagley; sister, Linda Pittman; as well as numerous extended family members, loved ones, and cherished friends.
Pallbearers will be Sam Pierce, Elliott Pierce, Josh Harper, David Billy, Kenny Pierce, Corbin Pierce, and Kendall Sampson.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, August 4, 2025, at Fairview Cemetery in Panama, Oklahoma, with Reverend Bryan Fout and Reverend Brian Smith officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
