Steve Edward Chronister, 62, passed away on October 09, 2023, at home in Wister with his family by his side. Steve was born on February 22, 1961. Steve had a heart of gold. He loved life and loved helping others. He loved his children and his family, including his nieces and nephews but most of all he loved taking care of his precious mother. Steve's favorite holidays were Thanksgiving and Christmas, as his favorite food was "sweets". He knew that when all the family got together for these holidays that there would be plenty of good "sweets" to choose from. His most treasured asset was "Papa's" (his dads) truck! He also loved watching Sci-Fi movies, but most of all he loved the Lord and studying His word. Steve was preceded in death by his father, Linston Chronister and his grandson, Titus.

Steve is survived by his precious mother: Jean Chronister of Wister, his son: Jordan Chronister of Heavener, 2 daughters: Justyne Burrough and husband Scott of Spiro; & Tayler and husband Joe Braziel of Heavener, 6 grandchildren: Haven, Emry, August, Scotlyn, Evanie, and Ezekiel, 2 sisters: Darlene Beason and husband Krout of Wister, and Cindy Luman of Wister, 2 brothers: Tim Chronister and wife Nova of Poteau; & Jacky Chronister of Wister, his girlfriend: Crystal Brown, a special friend: Johnny Adams, as well as numerous nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

The Celebration of Life visitation for Steve will be held from 5pm - 7pm on Friday, October 13, 2023, at Holt Funeral & Cremation Event Center Chapel. Steve's family will have a private family burial service at a later date.
