Gathering of Friends and Family for Terrance Phillip "Terry" Dillon, 74, formerly of Houston, Texas will be from 1pm -6pm on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at Layne Gamble's House in Poteau, Oklahoma. Cremation is under the direction of Evans and Miller Funeral Home in Poteau, Oklahoma.

He was born on April 21, 1948 in Howell, Michigan to Corinne (Lamond) Dillon and Patrick James Dillon and passed away on August 13, 2022 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.  He was married to Linda Faye (Higgins) Dillon on November 23, 1968 in Poteau, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents; Patrick and Corinne Dillon. Terry, along with two partners, developed the first voicemail. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Air Force. His favorite pastime was hunting and camping in Colorado. Woodworking and building things always kept him busy. Later in life, Terry really enjoyed picking up sea shells and walking along the beach. Most of all, he believed in the Lord and was a Christian man.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Dillon; daughter, Layne Gamble; son, Shane Dillon and wife Jessica; grandchildren, Colton Gamble and wife Jayde, Paris Morgan and husband Sam, Alexis Jaramillo and husband I.J., Wyatt Gamble; Dakota Dillon, Faith Christner, Isabella Dillon, Adeline Dillon; great granddaughter, Kate Morgan; sisters, Mona Grabbe and husband Roy, Michelene Smith; brother, Matt Dillon and wife Julie, numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and loved ones. Terry absolutely loved spending time with his family, and his family loved spending time with him.
