Theresa Gail Spencer

Theresa Gail Spencer, 78, of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, passed away on August 16, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on September 12, 1947, in Oxnard, California, to Rachel (Leivas) and Eugene Clark.

Theresa was united in marriage to Kenny on September 12, 2013, in Poteau, Oklahoma. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Theresa enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, and truck driving. When her health allowed, she especially loved working in her garden and tending to her flower beds. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life and the time spent doing the things she loved with those close to her.

Theresa was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Frankie.

She is survived by her husband, Kenny, of the home; daughters, Rina Carlburg and husband James of Jenks, Oklahoma, and Cheryl Russow of Bentonville, Arkansas; son, Eugene Gunner Gomez and wife Kathy Ray of Longtown, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Thomas Gomez, Kaiwana Lee, Aaron Alvarez, Nick Isaacs, and Amber Essary; brothers, Phil Clark of Lubbock, Texas, and Fred Leivas of Tulsa, Oklahoma,

and David Clark of Lubbock, Texas; and several great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be James Carlburg, Robbie Lee, Gunner Gomez, Curt Daugherty, Nick Isaacs, and David Alvarez.

Theresa will be remembered for her love of family, her independent spirit, and the many memories she created throughout her life. Her presence will be greatly missed, but her memory will remain in the hearts of those who loved her.

Funeral service for Theresa Gail Spencer will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, August 21, 2026, at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau, Oklahoma, with Rev. Taylor Pollard officiating. Burial will follow at Maxey Cemetery in Wister, Oklahoma, under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.

Viewing and visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at the funeral home.
