Thomas Gene Luster

Thomas Gene Luster, 66, passed away on October 16, 2026, in Poteau, Oklahoma. Thomas was born in Astoria Oregon on September 28, 1960, to parents Jimmy and Patricia (Manes) Luster. Thomas was a jack of all trades, he worked on billboard construction crew for many years, as well as in copper mines, owned his own pest control company and worked many years at a powerplant. He believed in hard work and having a strong work ethic. There was nothing that he couldn’t put his mind to and achieve. He will be missed by all that knew him.

Thomas was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Luster, his son, TJ Luster and his granddaughter, Tilia Schmidt.

Thomas is survived by his daughters Shante Luster, Brandi Luster, and Crystal Luster; granddaughter Naomi Luster, and his great grandson James, his mother, Patricia Luster of Poteau, Oklahoma; his brothers, James Luster and wife Bobbie of Muskogee, Oklahoma and Kelly Luster of California; his sisters, Kathleen Luster-Hine of Idaho and Judith Luster of California, Shayanna, Rayvenn and Sofia, all of Poteau, Oklahoma; his nieces, Chelsea Dore, Alysia Luster, and Hailey Luster; his nephews, Michael, Chris and Alex Flores and JJ Luster along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life Services for Thomas will be held privately by family, at a later date.
