Funeral Service for Tommy Herman Roger, 81 of Pocola, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at Evans Memorial Chapel in Pocola, Oklahoma with John Holderfield, and Bobby Roger officiating. Burial will follow at Greenhill Cemetery in Cameron, OK under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Pocola, Oklahoma.
Tommy was born on April 9, 1941 in Big Spring, Texas to Henry and Evelyn Roger and passed away on February 3, 2023 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ruth; a daughter and son-in-law, Jacquelin and Keith King; siblings: Patsy, Barbara, Billy, Nancy, and Jimmy; as well as his parents. Tommy was a retired down-hole tool specialist in the oil field. He was a member of the Arkoma Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his son, Tommy Glenn (Jennifer) of Pocola; seven grandchildren: K. T. (Corie) King, Ayren (Olivia) King, Hayden (Ariel) King, Jaedyn King, Kallyn (Eric) Carlton, Jon Woods, Amelia Roger; one great-grandchild: Kalob Carlton; two sisters: Mary Ellerbe and Becky Weakland; and one brother: Bobby (Kim) Roger.
Pallbearers will be Hayden King, Ayren King, K.T. King, Jon Woods, Gaige Savage, Gunner Trent, and Eric Carlton.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 7, 2023 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Pocola, Oklahoma.
