Vernie Kathern Pierce, 96, of Panama, OK passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2020 in Panama. Vernie was born December 17, 1923 in Hackett, AR to Robert Edward & Annie Jane (Clark) Tucker. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Shirley Moore; sons, Leland, Bobby & Merle John Pierce; 12 siblings. Vernie was the last of the children.
Survivors include her son, Richard Pierce & Janice Harrison of Poteau; daughters, Rose Brady, Patricia Trout both of Panama, Coralene Crabtree & Steve of Bokoshe; 26 grandchildren; many great and great great grandchildren; other relatives, loved ones and friends.
Services will be 2 pm, Friday, August 21, 2020 at Evans Chapel of Memoires, Poteau, OK with Jim Cook & Tim Painter officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Panama, OK. Pallbearers will be Dakota, Jay & Christian Killian, Bobby Born. The family will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives & friends.
