Virgil was born on September 6, 1946, in Summerfield, OK. to the late Oscar & Ethel Chester Ridenour. He was a member of the Full Gospel Church Rock Island, OK. He was the owner operator of Triple RRR Transmission in Poteau, OK. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Charles, Glen, Bobby, Donnie Ray Ridenour, sister Lola Nelson.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years Reba Sweeten Ridenour; one child, Daniel Heth Ridenour of Rock Island, OK; grandchildren April & Harland Mandigo of Poteau, OK, Jonathan Ridenour (Elizabeth) of Ft. Smith, AR, Terry Ridenour of Ft. Smith, AR, Adam & Ashley Ridenour of Ft. Smith, AR. sister Phyllis Goines of Waldron AR; 19 great- grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Evans & Miller Funeral Home Chapel in Poteau, OK. with Pastor Danny Green officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Monday at Evans & Miller Funeral Home. The burial will be at Mountain View Cemetery in Hackett, AR.
