Graveside funeral service for Warren Strickland will be 2:00pm Thursday, September 29th at the Shady Point Cemetery with Reverend Jim Cook officiating. Services under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma. Viewing will be 1pm-8pm Wednesday with the family visiting with friends from 6pm-8pm at the funeral home.
Warren Dee Strickland was born August 28, 1937 in Briartown, Oklahoma to Eldon and Dollie (Starr) and passed away at Claremore, Oklahoma on September 24, 2022 at the age of 85. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Mildred Maxine (Capell) Strickland. He was an Army Veteran and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his son, Richard Strickland; nieces and nephews, Gary and Viola Capell, Larry and Loretta Capell, Phillip and Connie Hudson, Jerry Hudson, Raymond and Janice Modisette, Rick and Carol Modisette; special nieces and nephews, Cody Mitzy and Eli Capell and Aaron, Paige, Kason and Aiden Capell; his close friends, Charlie Walker and family, and Audie and Brenda Price and Family; numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
