Graveside Service for Wendell L. Gist, 73 of Spiro, Oklahoma will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at New Hope Cemetery in Spiro, Oklahoma under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Spiro, Oklahoma.
He was born on October 21, 1946 in Spiro, Oklahoma to Leona (Ward) Gist and Loy Gist and passed away on May 10, 2020 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Loy and Leona Gist.
Wendell was a 1964 graduate of Spiro High School and obtained a BS in Engineering Technology form Oklahoma State University in 1976.
He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force serving 2 years active duty and 2 years inactive duty.
Survivors include his brother; Allan Gist and wife Norma, and niece; Cathy Mann and husband Stan.
