Wesley “Wes” Leroy Martin of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (formerly of Panama, Oklahoma) was born February 16, 1937 to Wesley and Audie (Rogers) Martin in the Buck Creek Community in Panama, Oklahoma. He went home to be with the Lord on May 5, 2022 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 85.

An abundance of close family and friends
He was preceded in death by his parents Wesley and Audie Martin; seven sisters Angeline, Margie, Faye, Gladys, Earline, Pat, and Wanda; one brother Arlin Martin; and one grandson Jacob Martin.
Wes was a longtime resident of the area and a member of Calhoun Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Panama High School. He retired from Whirlpool. Wes volunteered his time mowing the lawn and doing upkeep around Calhoun Baptist Church. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Wes will forever be loved and missed by his family and friends.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Calhoun Baptist Church in Shady Point, Oklahoma with Reverend Steve Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in Shady Point Cemetery in Shady Point, Oklahoma under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.
Viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday and 9:00 a.m. until 8:30 p.m., Wednesday. The family will have visitation with friends from 500 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be: Bobby Martin, Don Martin, Doyle Martin, Jacob Martin, Nicholas Martin, Tayler Martin.
