William “Bill” Moers, III Obituary Featured

William “Bill” Moers, III of Spiro, Oklahoma was born on August 10, 1953 in Deposit, New York and passed May 13, 2017 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 63 years old.

Bill is survived by his wife Becky of the home, three sons, William Moers of Lisle, Illinois, Zachary Moers of Spiro, Oklahoma, and Jesse Moers and wife Jessica of Rowlett, Texas, two grandchildren, ZJ Moers and Levi Moers, one sister, April Sprague of Mesa, Arizona, and his biological mother, Rita Bailey of East Branch, New York.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Jr. and Anna (Pavlak) Moers.


Bill was a United States Air Force retiree and worked at the 188th Air National Guard in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He retired with the Meritorious Service Medal with 2 oak leaf clusters, Air Force Commendation Medal with 3 oak leaf clusters, Air Force Achievement Medal with 3 oak leaf clusters, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award unit with 1 oak leaf cluster, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, Air Reserve Forces Meritorious Service Medal with 8 oak leaf clusters, National Defense Service Medal with 2 service stars, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Air Force Overseas Ribbon Short, Air Force Longevity Service with 5 oak leaf clusters, Armed Forces Reserve Medal with 2 hourglass devices, and the Air Force Training Ribbon.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30pm Wednesday at the Victory Worship Center in Spiro, Oklahoma with Reverend Bryan Fouts officiating.


Interment will follow at 2:00pm at the National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas.


Arrangements have been entrusted to the care and direction of Mallory Martin Funeral Home of Spiro, Oklahoma.


Viewing will be Tuesday 9am-7pm at the funeral home.
